The President of VFCEA worked with the Department of Science and Technology and the Urban Development Department of the Ministry of Construction

On March 30 and March 31, 2021 President of the Vietnam Construction Association Dang Viet Dung worked with the Urban Development Department of the Ministry of Construction - these are activities in the work program of VFCEA.

Attending the meeting on March 30, on the side of VFCEA, there were Associate Professor. Dr. Do Van Hua – Head of Science and Technology Department, Dr. Nguyen Hong Hanh – Head of Advisory Committee, Dr. Le Thi Bich Thuan – Deputy General Secretary of VFCEA.

On the side of the Ministry of Construction, there were Mr. Vu Ngoc Anh - Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Construction, Mr. Le Minh Long - Director of the Department. Mr. Nguyen Cong Thinh – Deputy Director, other experts of Department of Science and Technology.

The two sides frankly exchanged issues of mutual concern in the field of construction science and agreed on a number of contents:

- The Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Construction and VFCEA need to strengthen the exchange of information on scientific research, VFCEA needs to be regularly informed of the Ministry's Science and Technology Programs managed by the Department...

- VFCEA looks forward to participating in the annual science and technology mission of the Ministry of Construction, signing long-term Science and Technology Research programs 2020-2025.

- Through the Department of Science and Technology, report to the leaders of the Ministry to jointly organize with VFCEA the seminar "Digital transformation for construction industry enterprises", the workshop will coordinate with the Vietnam Contractors Association , specialized associations of the General Assembly. Coordinating to organize the Workshop "Energy saving in urban lighting".

- Develop local regulations taking into account the immediate response to climate change for the provinces of Quang Nam, Lao Cai, Yen Bai...

- Organizing green building awards organized by VFCEA with the patronage of the Ministry of Construction.

- VFCEA and the Department of Science and Technology organized training courses on construction quality, energy saving, green building....

VFCEA assigned the Science and Technology Department to act as the focal point for these activities.

On March 31, VFCEA Chairman Dang Viet Dung worked with the Urban Development Department of the Ministry of Construction. Attending the meeting on the side of VFCEA were Mr. Pham The Minh - Permanent Vice President cum Secretary General PGS.TS Thuong - Science and Technology Department, Dr. Nguyen Hong.

Hanh – Head of Advisory Committee, TS. Tran Chung – Head of Quality Department, TS.KTS. Le Thi Bich Thuan – Deputy General Secretary of VFCEA;

On the side of Urban Development Department - Ministry of Construction, there were Department of School Tran Quoc Thai, Deputy Director Tran Lan Anh, Deputy Director of School Vu Van Toan and experts of the Department.

The two sides had an open and sincere working session, this is the first meeting between the two organizations although the two sides have cooperated a lot in the field of urban development. After the members exchanged opinions, the two sides agreed on a number of contents

- Organize 1-2 meetings a year between the two sides to propose cooperation plans and agree on a cooperation mechanism. The focal point of the Urban Development Department assigned Dr. Tran Lan Anh to monitor, the VFCEA assigned Dr. Le Thi Bich Thuan

- Coordinate in propagating urban development plans and orientations on the basis of the voice of the Urban Development Department

- Join the Department in drafting legal documents such as the Law on Urban Development Management, the National Urban Development Strategy.

- - Providing leading experts in urban relations as well as Rural development for urban and rural planning.

- Participating in the development of urban economic strategies for localities such as Tuyen Quang, Ninh Thuan, and Hung Yen, building financial models for urban areas.

- Select research topics to develop criteria for specialized cities such as green cities, airport cities, and industrial cities.

- Coordinating the organization of Vietnam Urban Day. Organize selection and awarding of green cities, smart cities, cities resistant to climate change... on Vietnam Urban Day.

- Research, review and supplement criteria on urban classification.

- Establish pilot investment regulations for smart cities.

- Coordinate seminars with Urban Development Department and urban forum.
